Assessment cooking

For my assessment I cooked apple and cinnamon pancakes for my partner. There was a few difficulties along the way but in the end they turned out good! First I used the fine grater to grate the apple. This made fresh apple juice and also a little bit of grated apple. In another bowel I then got the egg yolks but I accidentally put the egg whites down the sink when they were needed later. However I kept going and would deal with it later. I added ricotta sugar and sifted the flour and cinnemon in. Next I had to go get two more eggs and seperated them to just get the egg whites. I beated them until he mixture was light and fluffy and added into the batter. Now it was time to cook. At first the frypan was way to hot so when I poured the mixture on it burnt straight away! I got them off and chucked them out. I then turned off the pan at the PowerPoint so it could cool down. I waited a bit and then put the temperature to 4. I found this was a good temperature to cook the pancakes. This slowed me down alot so therefore I was running very behind everyone else. From then on I just cooked and flipped and they turned out perfectly cooked! As some were cooking I chopped my fruit for the smoothie and put them in the blender with lots of ice. I turned the blender on and went back to my pancakes. I cooked a few more and turned he blender off. While I was cooking my partner was helping me by cleaning up the dishes! This was great as I kept my working space clear. Once they were all cooked I arranged them on the plate so that the big ones were on the bottom then I put the medium ones on top then some tiny ones around the outside. I then drizzled honey over them and dusted icing sugar! Lastly I poured the fruit shlushee into a cup with a straw! I just finished in time. My meal, even though it was pancakes was actually pretty healthy. Whole meal flour used . And only a little bit of sugar as he apple juice was sweet enough. my partner said it was very nice so that's great! It was healthy and tasted good! Overall I was very happy with the result!
